Kingsreach

Two kingdoms. One crown.

Kingsreach is a real-time 1v1 kingdom strategy game that plays in your browser, with no download. You start with one seat and a stretch of land. The AI opponent starts with the same. One of you ends the match holding the other's capital.

A match is about twenty minutes. There is no campaign to commit to and nothing to install. Press Play.

Grow, then choose. City building here runs on food: a city gains population from what it does not eat, and surplus population settles new land. Every holding can be raised, specialised and governed, and specialising it closes other doors. An agrarian city feeds an army it cannot itself raise.

The tech tree is a route, not a shopping list. Click any technology, however far down the tree, and your realm works its way there through everything it needs first. You set the direction; the kingdom handles the order.

Three factions that actually play differently. The Crowned Realm, the Merchant League and the Free Marches do not share a unit roster. What you can build changes what you should do.

Fights are won before they start. Armies are raised where you have the population to raise them and supplied by the land behind them. A siege is a commitment, not a click.

Controls: mouse to select and command, arrow keys to move the camera, Space to pause. Everything else is on screen.

Best played fullscreen - use the fullscreen button at the bottom right of the frame.

Built in Godot. Plays in the browser on desktop, and there is a Windows download if you would rather have one.
